For Immediate Gratification

Yes, I have been on holiday but still “working”. No, I do not review every movie I view but here are a few I have seen recently, some I will attack in depth upon my return. Appreciate your emails and these tiny morsels should help with your entertainment decisions.

LOVE AND OTHER DRUGS (surprising, genuine, original love story) Anne Hathaway, Jake Gyllenhaal, light up the screen with their chemistry. Will dedicate more verbiage to this film later in the week. THREE & 1/2 STARS!!!

THE TOURIST. Tritely torturous. Angelina Jolie, Jonny Depp.  More later. ONE STAR!

ALL GOOD THINGS. Kristen Dunst, Ryan Gosling star in a true “crime” story that crawls at a sleep- inducing pace; capable actors trapped in a tedious script. TWO STARS!!

CASINO JACK. Kevin Spacey soars as the “spiritual” lobbyist, Jack Abramoff. If you have not tired of supposed good guys, gone rotten, you will be vastly entertained and informed. THREE STARS!!!

FAIR GAME. Naomi Watts, Sean Penn mesmerizingly depict, without sensationalism Valerie Plame’s memoir, “My Life as a Spy”. Those familiar with the events surrounding her life and the life of her husband, Joe Wilson will be edified and stripped of the erroneous illusions fostered by the media and the Government. FOUR STARS!!!!

For Now……………Peneflix

  1. Totallly agree with your review of FAIR GAME! Actually not with THE TOURIST. I found it entertaining, fun, beautiful scenes of Venice, although a bit confusing.
    Enjoy your vacation!
