FILMS TO AVOID ON: NETFLIX, ON DEMAND, IN THE THEATRES

“TAKE THIS WALTZ”; Dull, pathetic portrayal of a floundering marriage. Ridiculous scenario starring Michelle Williams and Seth Rogen. Civility prevents me from suggesting what should be done with this “waltz”.

“DETACHMENT”; Had some potential but fizzled.  Adrien Brody looses his way as a substitute teacher. Sad, his piano days have waned.

“2 DAYS IN NEW YORK”; Julie Delpy and Chris Rock star in this pejorative, embarrassing, tasteless film; lacking even a modicum of chemistry or intelligence. Delpy has some major angst against her native France, viewers beware!

“BEL AMI”; I have already panned this awful, bastardized version of Guy de Maupassant’s novel.   Robert Pattison should stick to chomping on necks.

“THE ROAD” (Not to be confused with the 2009 Viggo Mortenson, apocalyptic film of the same title); a Filipino horror movie that should only be shown at midnight in a galaxy far away!

Peneflix will be on hiatus for two weeks. Tomorrow’s post will critique the best film of 2012, at this point!

Gracious thanks for your continued readership, comments and insights; this is the “stuff” of relationships!

For Now…………..Peneflix
